The Roof, the roof, the roof is ...... leaking?

So I'm working at my computer yesterday and a storm hits. Storms here are so different than in Utah. They aren't gradual, they start and stop. And it's buckets and buckets of water, I've never seen so much water falling from the sky. As I'm commenting on it by e-mail to my family, I start to hear water dripping and running, and it's not outside. It starts coming out of my ceiling! The thunder claps wake up my boy and Sydney comes running telling me that water is coming out of the light fixture! I gather all the garbage cans I can and start placing them strategically to catch all the water. I tried to take pictures, but you couldn't see the water so I didn't post them. I can't believe how much water it was! It wasn't dripping, it was streaming! Crazy! So, I guess we'll be getting that fixed today or tomorrow.

Moving In

Here are a bunch of pictures, in no particular order of our place with boxes and such all over. At this point I had already worked through a bunch of stuff, Peyton's room is all put together! Everything else is a work in progesss. If/when I get each room or area done, I'll post the after picture. Now, take into consideration that there is a wall paper boarder in EVERY room that will be taken down and there is no color anywhere in the house! If any of you know us in any way, there will soon be color on every wall! The picture of the walkway up to the house shows the bushes and such lining the walk. In the picture, those bushes on the left side are going to be taken out and the others cut back or down. We have big plans, and hopefully will find the time to do it. Wish we didn't have to work jobs, darn it!

Jason after coming home from work and Peyton wanting to wear his socks and shoes. Ew! sweaty!

Those are coming out, possibly as early as tomorrow! They are so in the way, I can't get the boxes, kids, dogs, neighbors through that area. I'm thinking some nice rocks with some fun pots of flowers.

We Made It!!

Welcome to So. Ill!....okay, it doesn't have quite the same ring to it but it's home, Southern Illinois! Hot, humid, sunny! The people are friendly, the bugs are not, and I feel a southern drawl comin' on.

We made the two day trek from Utah to Illinois quite well and happily. Sydney, Peyton and Mya are excellent travelers and made the trip easier on their parents by being such great kids!

I will post pictures later, just wanted to introduce you to our new blog and to let everyone know we made it safely to our new home!

Loves to all!
